Motorcyclist injured in Collie crash

A motorcycle rider is being flown to hospital after he was seriously injured after a collision with a car in Collie this afternoon.

The accident happened about 3.30pm on the corner of Benwell Place and Park Street.

The rider is being taken to the Royal Perth Hospital by the RAC rescue helicopter.

He is expected to land at 6.30pm.

Initial reports that the accident was a hit and run are incorrect.
