Thunderstorm activity sweeping over Perth’s northern suburbs this afternoon will ease to showers by peak hour, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
The thunderstorm which passed through the southern suburbs of Perth earlier this morning is expected to hit the northern suburbs in the next hour.
Perth Airport has already recorded 4.8mm of rain while Swanbourne and Whiteman Park had 4.6mm.
Perth city recorded 2.6mm.
Already this month, Perth has recorded 121.6mm. The average rainfall for the month of June stands at 176.7mm.
Tomorrow, showers are expected to cease and partly cloudy conditions forecast.
A string of cold nights are on the way though, with a minimum of 4 degrees and a maximum of 18 degrees forecast for tomorrow.
Friday will be mostly sunny with a minimum of 3 degrees and a maximum of 18 degrees before the mercury drops to 2 degrees on Saturday morning. Sunday morning will be slightly warmer with 5 degrees forecast.Sunny conditions are forecast for the weekend with a maximum of 19 degrees on Saturday and 20 degrees on Sunday.
