Child injured in Como crash

Update, 5.40pm A child has been taken to hospital after a car collided with a motorbike in Como this afternoon.

The crash happened at 4.30pm at on Canning Highway near Thelma Avenue.

It is understood a pedestrian may have also been involved in the crash, though it’s unclear whether the child was the pedestrian.

St John Ambulance took the child to Princess Margaret Hospital with what is believed to be serious injuries.

Police are also attending the scene.

Traffic has been reduced to one lane in both directions and is heavily congested.
