Smoke warning after factory blaze

STAFF REPORTER, The West Australian January 31, 2012, 5:17 pm

A factory has caught alight this afternoon in Canning Vale prompting FESA to issue a smoke warning.

The fire on Mourdant Circuit near Oban Link and Baile Road is believed to have affected a powder coating factory.

The blaze was reported at 4.42pm.

Fire and rescue service crews are on the scene.

It is understood the fire has been contained to the building and it close to being under control.

The cause of the fire is unknown.

People in the area are advised to remain inside, out of the smoke or possible fumes.
