Nightmares mar Barnett's dreams

_ Sketch _doesn't know what Colin Barnett was dreaming about when he fell asleep during yesterday's question time.

It might have been about his new mate Goodluck Jonathan.

Hopefully, it wasn't Christian Porter's mind-numbing soliloquy about the economics of youth detention, which sent Mr Barnett into his slumber in the first place.

Usually entertaining, Mr Porter's talk about kids in custody made the beige paint on the ceiling look exciting.

Mr Barnett did wake briefly to snarl at Ben Wyatt, who dared to ask Education Minister Liz Constable if she had found any of the 1300 school kids her department can't locate.

But he was soon back in the land of nod, enjoying a nap which, as is the Premier's usual style, was interrupted every five seconds when chin hit chest.

Maybe it was CHOGM-fatigue syndrome. Or perhaps exhaustion from dealing with the growing number of backbenchers upset with him for various reasons.

Right-wing businessmen are angry that the Premier is not doing enough to look after small business. The right-wing Christians are angry he is doing too much to encourage women to become prostitutes.

_Sketch _ believes Mr Barnett deserves a holiday.

But maybe he should throw a grenade into the party room by offering payroll tax exemptions to brothel owners.
