Sex change woman seeks manhood again

STAFF REPORTER, The West Australian November 28, 2012, 10:02 am

A 75-year-old woman, who had gender reassignment decades ago, wants to return to being a man, according to a British news website.

The Mail Online reports that pensioner Gary Norton now realises that the sex change operation she had 23 years ago was a huge mistake.

Gary Norton, 75, is an RAF veteran and underwent a full male to female gender reassignment but now feels trapped in the wrong body, it reported.

Gary became estranged from her former wife and children when she underwent the sex change 23 years ago.

The Mail Online quoted Gary - who had been calling herself Gillian since legally becoming a woman - as saying she had been living a lie.

"Having a sex change was the biggest mistake of my life," Gary told the Mail.

"It has left me isolated from my children and feeling like a social misfit. I would do anything to see them again.

"I'm lonely because I want a relationship with a woman but I can't have a physical relationship because I've got no equipment."
