Chinese artist Liu Bolin has managed to blend in so well with his surroundings that he is known as The Invisible Man.

The human chameleon uses his body as a canvas for paint, which helps him "disappear" in places such as the Great Wall of China, the American flag, an empty theatre, supermarkets, a phone box, a canon, stairwells and a forest.

His assistants spend several hours putting the finishing touches to Bolin's body.

In one of his latest artworks, "Plasticizer", Bolin blends into rows of soft drinks to express his speechlessness at the use of plasticiser in food additives.
