Kerr strikes a pose for The West

Miranda Kerr was in Perth recently for a whirlwind tour, but the model of the moment managed to stop long enough to grant The West Australian some time before an in-store appearance at David Jones' city store.

As The West team - stylist Sylvia Giacci and photographer Rob Duncan - discovered, working with limited time doesn't matter so much when your subject is Miranda Kerr. The quick change artist would look good in a potato sack, and knows how to strike a pose.

Outfit one - snap - change - outfit two - snap - change. Get the idea?

Kerr's fashion shoot for The West was photographed at a private home in West Leederville, away from the prying eyes of the public, who these days seem obsessed above all else by Kerr's relationship with actor Orlando Bloom.

In a floaty, patterned cream and burnt orange Akira Isogawa dress, Kerr embodied relaxed summer chic. Next up, Kerr glowed in a tangerine Willow dress designed to take its wearer from day to night. Finally, the glam factor went up a notch with a metallic Sass and Bide wrap skirt, embellished singlet top and strappy heels.

Kerr's own make-up artist, Allison Boyle, completed the look with fresh, natural make-up based around a coral and soft pink palette.

Kerr may now call New York home, but she insists she is still an Aussie girl at heart. Asked to nominate her summer must-haves, Kerr chose quintessentially beachy items - aviator sunglasses, boho-tinged necklaces, a slouchy bag and an armful of gold bangles.

On the beauty front, Kerr is a strong advocate of natural and organic ingredients. Asked to name her beauty essentials, Kerr nominated rosehip oil, deep sea water and honey-based lip balm as her can't-live-without items.
