Two men will appear before Mandurah Magistrate's Court today after they were allegedly caught red-handed during a house burglary in Secret Harbour.

Police will allege that just before 11am yesterday, a family returned to their Stamford Crescent home and noticed the front door had been forced open.

They called police after hearing voices coming from inside the house.

Officers arrived to find two men in their 30s inside the bedroom, one of whom allegedly assaulted an officer.

A 31-year-old Gosnells man has been charged with aggravated burglary, stealing, obstructing police and assaulting a public officer.

His alleged accomplice, a 35-year-old Scarborough man, faces stealing and burglary charges.
