A Perth teenager, believed to be at a school ball party, is fighting for his life after falling from a hotel balcony in Scarborough at the weekend.

The 16-year-old was staying at Sunmoon Resort when he plunged from a second-storey balcony on Saturday.

He was found by friends and taken to Sir Charles Gairdner hospital with critical injuries.

A spokesman for Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital said the boy remained in a critical condition last night.

Police are investigating the incident.
