A Meekatharra man allegedly driving while more than five times over the 0.05 blood alcohol limit, has had his utility seized for three months.
Police followed the driver about 8.30pm yesterday after receiving a report of the utility allegedly doing burnouts on a local street.
When the 22-year-old realised police were behind him, he tried to get out of the car while it was still moving and ended up falling on the road, police claim.
The man allegedly had a blood alcohol reading of 0.266 and was charged with driving under the influence. He was also charged with reckless driving and having no authority to drive because his licence was suspended.His white utility was seized for three months and he is expected to appear in Meekatharra Magistrate's Court today.
