A hot air balloon has been forced to land at Royal Perth Golf Club this morning.

The balloon is part of the promotion for the Defence Force Air Show this weekend at Pearce Air Base and took off from Burswood.

It is not clear at this stage what caused the balloon's pilot to land at the gold course.

The Royal Australian Air Force has been contacted for comment.
