Beach party: Champion Bay Surf Life Saving Club is gearing up for two massive Australia Day events.

Champion Bay Surf Life Saving Club is hosting several events on Australia Day catering for those who want a challenge or kids just wanting to have fun.

The club will host its annual Kids Beach Party, which is now in its eighth year.

The party will include a sandcastle competition, pillow fi ghts, face painting and lifesaving games such as fl ag races.

Champion Bay Surf Life Saving Club president Peter Nelson said the club would be on patrol and families should attend to experience a fun party atmosphere.

“All the activities we are doing are teaching the kids about confi dence in the water and at the beach,” he said.
