Earlier this year, students from Esperance Primary School sent their Olympic-themed artwork to London, hoping it could be used as part of the London Games.
However, they have been shocked to learn that not only have their pieces been used in the athletes’ village, they also received rave reviews from one of the Australian rowers.
Lightweight rower Hannah Every-Hall emailed the school last week to say students Robbie Davies and Lisa Warne’s artwork was put up in her bedroom in the athletes’ village.
“I am writing to thank your students for the wonderful artwork that is displayed proudly on the walls of our bedroom and corridors of the athletes’ village,” Ms Every-Hall wrote in her email. It was just so incredibly welcoming and warming walking into the village with pictures drawn by your students on the walls of Australian landscapes.
“So I just wanted to write a quick note to thank you all for your work.
“It has not gone unnoticed and it is incredibly appreciated.”Sponsored links
