A 25-year-old Victorian motorcyclist has died after a head-on collision with a ute.
Police say the man was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle when he lost control, drove onto the wrong side of the road and collided with a utility travelling in the opposite direction in Drouin about 2.30pm (AEDT).
The motorcyclist from Traralgon died at the scene and the driver and sole occupant of the Holden utility, a 29-year-old Drouin man, was treated for minor injuries.
The death takes the road toll to 192, compared to 234 for the same time last year.
Earlier a man died after his car hit a traffic pole in Melbourne's southeast.
Police say he was alone in the car when it veered off the Nepean Highway at Mentone and crashed on Monday morning.
The man died at the scene.He's yet to be formally identified.
