Air crash investigators are heading to country Victoria to find out why a light plane burst into flames, killing two men.
The pilot and passenger were killed when the Lancair plane crashed on Friday as it was taking off from Shepparton Airport.
An Australian Transport Safety Bureau spokesman says a team of four investigators will arrive at the crash site on Saturday.
The cause of the crash has yet to be determined.
A witness said the plane appeared to pitch rapidly before it crashed into a fence.
The dead pilot has been named as 59-year-old businessman John Pendergast.
His family said he had been flying for many years."We are trying to hold it together as best as we can," his father told News Corp Australia.
