Police are looking for a gun-wielding thief and his accomplice after an armed robbery at a service station in Waikiki early this morning.
About 1am a man knocked on the door of a service station on the corner of Read Street and Gnangara Drive and told the staff member inside he wanted to buy something.
When the worker obliged and opened the door, another man with his face covered ran inside and threatened the worker with a gun while the other man held the front doors open.
The staff member handed over a sum of money to the armed man before both offenders fled on foot, running in opposite directions.
One of the men is aged in his mid 20s, 174cm tall, of a solid build with fair skin and a ginger or red beard. He wore a black hooded jacket.
The second man is also aged in his mid 20s, 183cm tall of a slim build and fair skin. He wore a dark hooded jacket and tracksuit pants with a stripe down the side of the legs.Anyone with information about the men or the incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
