Banned AFL agent in more trouble

ROSS LEWIS, The West Australian February 25, 2012, 12:32 pm

Dumped AFL player agent Ricky Nixon is again in trouble after being arrested in Melbourne overnight.

The league's website is reporting Nixon was taken into custody around 2am Melbourne time for allegedly being drunk in a public area.

The AFL had confirmation from Victoria police.

Nixon has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons over the past 18 months.

He was stripped of his player agents accreditation by the AFL Players Association last year after the union found his conduct unsuitable for the role.

Nixon had become embroiled in a highly-publicised series of incidents involving a Victorian teenage girl.

The AFLPA banned Nixon for two years.

Nixon was once the premier agent in the game and has acted for a raft of stars including Ben Cousins, Nick Riewoldt, Wayne Carey and Gary Ablett snr.

And the point of this story is? It’s not like we don’t all know the fact that all of these blokes who were represented by this dropkick are not high ranking members of the dropkick club.
