Fremantle defender Luke McPharlin has had a pre-season setback that will keep him from playing in the club's intraclub clash later today.
McPharlin hurt his left ankle during training on Wednesday and scans have revealed minor damage.
Dockers medical staff decided he should miss the clash, scheduled for Patersons Stadium from 6pm.
Because of the Perth heat, the match will be staged over just 60 minutes.
McPharlin is a cornerstone of the Fremantle defence but his absence could allow Dockers coaching staff to gauge how recruit Zac Dawson could slot into the club's back zone.Sponsored links
