A 39-year-old man was brutally punched and kicked while a group of men stole his wallet.
The man was walking through a scaffolded walkway on Wellington Street, Perth about 3.15am on Saturday, December 5 when he was approached by a group of men.
The group asked for money and cigarettes. When he reached for his wallet he was punched in the head.
The force of the blow forced the man to the ground where the group kicked and punched him.
The man's wallet was ripped from his grasp before the men fled towards the Perth Bus Station.
The main offender is described as dark skinned, 18 or 19 years-old, of slim build with black hair.
