FESA gives Beechina homes all-clear

UPDATE: Firefighters have issued an all-clear for a bushfire that had threatened homes in the western part of Beechina, near Chidlow.

Fire and Emergency Services at 4.20pm said the bushfire was under control.

"People should remain vigilant in case the situation changes," FESA said.

Earlier, an emergency warning was issued for people with homes in Simmons Street, Lockwood Road, Ilbery Street and Deconing Road.

All roads are now open.

An all-clear has also been given for Leschenault residents on Driver Street between Old Coast Road and Australind Road.

A fire burning in the area has been brought under control and all roads re-opened.

FESA said at 7.05pm it was safe for people to return home, while being cautious about smoke across some roads.
