Shark attack in Walpole

A man has been attacked by a shark at a remote beach near Walpole this afternoon.

It is understood that the man was surfing at Conspicuous Cliffs just after noon when he was knocked off his board and bitten by the shark. It is believed that the man suffered serious injuries to one of his knees. He was taken by ambulance from the beach and is expected to be taken to Albany Hospital.
