Boyle cancels Aussie tour

Scottish songstress Susan Boyle has cancelled her Australian tour in order to take a break ahead of recording her second album, according to media reports.

The Daily Telegraph reported this afternoon that Boyle, who soared to fame after her appearance on Britain's Got Talent and her debut hit I Dreamed A Dream, needs time off to recuperate from promotional tours of America and Japan before going back to the studio to record her next album.

The website reported that Boyle was still keen to visit Australia later this year.

"Regrettably, we have had to make the tough decision to postpone our Australian visit for the Logies in May," her manager Andy Stephens said.

"We want to apologise to all Susan’s Australian fans and look forward to coming to Australia later in the year."
