Grieving Broome family to hold ceremony after fatal crash

The family of a Broome man killed in a hit and run crash on Friday morning will hold a white cross ceremony at the crash site this afternoon.

It is understood friends and family of the 21-year-old will gather on the Broome Highway opposite the Broome Airport today.

The man's body was found on the side of the road about 3am by a passing taxi driver.

An investigation is being conducted by Broome Detectives with the assistance of the Perth-based Major Crash Investigation Section and Major Crime Squad.
