AC/DC will tour again: Rudd

AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd has put the split rumours to bed, saying the band will tour again.

Rumours the band was planning to announce their retirement hit the headlines in April. It was reported the band was to split due to guitarist Malcolm Young's poor health.

AC/DC issued a statement in response to the speculation saying the band would continue to make music in the abscene of Young who had decided to take a break from work.

The rumours of a split were fuelled again in July when Brian Johnson revealed Young was in hospital.

"We miss Malcolm obviously. He's a fighter. He's in hospital but he's a fighter. We've got our fingers crossed that he'll get strong again," Johnson told Classic Rock magazine.

But with a new album on the way, Rudd says the band has no plans to call it a day anytime soon.

"There will be another tour and I will be on that," Rudd told the Nine Network in a prerecorded interview, aired on Friday.

"We will probably all have to be dead before it stops," he added.

AD/DC regrouped in Canada in May this year to record their 15th record, with Stevie Young filling in for his ill uncle.
