The man accused of killing the father of murdered teenager Jessie Cate has pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of assault causing death.
Timothy Skipper had been charged with murder, but the offence was downgraded to manslaughter earlier this year.
In the the Supreme Court today, Skipper pleaded guilty to the alternative charge of assault causing death.
Skipper killed Paul Edward Cate, 46, during a fight at his caravan home near Mandurah on May 31 last year.
The death came just one day after his daughter Jessie's killer, Kyle Rohan Garth, 20, pleaded guilty to murdering the teenager by strangling her.Skipper will be sentenced in January.
