A truck driver has been taken to Royal Perth Hospital after an accident at a Pilbara mine site.
The accident at 1am today involved a collision between two haul trucks at Fortescue Metals Group's Christmas Creek mine, near Nullagine.
Only one of the drivers was seriously injured.
He was stabilised on site and taken to RPH by the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
The Department of Mines and Petroleum has sent inspectors to investigate the accident.
The incident comes months after a 26-year-old man was crushed to death at the Pilbara mine site, ending the sector's only two-year fatality-free period in more than a century.New Zealand-born electrical engineer Kurt Williams was killed in August while doing maintenance work in the crushing plant of the Christmas Creek mine.
