Police stopped a car in Broome with a man allegedly lying on the bonnet, smoking a cigarette, dressed in a dinosaur “onesie” and wearing a snorkel.
Broome police were on the way to Gantheaume Point Cable Beach about 7.20am today when the incident reportedly occurred.
It is alleged the Ford falcon wagon was travelling at about 60km/h with an adult male lying on the bonnet, facing the driver.
The 23-year-old female driver of the vehicle has been charged with driving in excess 0.05% and reckless driving.
It is believed the pair are French backpackers who where living in the car and have no fixed address.
The vehicle was seized under hoon legislation.
A WA police spokeswoman said there seemed to be no reason for the man to be on the bonnet, “other than stupidity”.The woman will be summonsed and appear in court at a later date.
