An 18-year-old Balga man is accused of sending sexually explicit messages to a police officer posing as a 13-year-old girl.
It is alleged that last month, the man used online social chat facilities to engage in conversation of a sexual nature with a person he believed was a girl.
The “girl” was a WA police officer from the Online Child Exploitation Squad.
It will also be alleged he exposed the “girl” to indecent material.
He was arrested by police at his Balga home on October 11.
He has been charged with two counts of using electronic communication to expose a person believed to be under 16 years to indecent matter and one count of using electronic communication to procure a person believed to be under 16 years to engage in sexual activity.He is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on October 25.
