Sometimes parents do follow through on their threats, as one young One Direction fan has apparently found out the hard way.
An angry mum has put her daughter’s tickets to a concert by pop superstars One Direction on sale online, saying she was teaching her young daughter a lesson.
The tickets - and their description – attracted attention on social media this weekend after bids for a chance to see the boy band went sky high.
At last count, someone was willing to pay $37,200 (plus $5 postage) for the two tickets to the band’s Sydney concert in October.
The tickets have since been removed, but not before the online auction gained attention on social media for the seller’s entertaining explanation for why the tickets were on sale."You can thank my daughters self righteous [sic] and lippy attitude for their sale," the seller posted.
"See sweety?[sic] And you thought I was bluffing.
"...OH YOUR FRIENDS THOUGHT THAT A FEW PRANKS CALLS WOULD PUT ME OFF SELLING THE GIFT WE BOUGHT FOR THEM for YOUR BIRTHDAY because YOU all LIED to us about sleep overs so you could hang like little trollops at an older guys HOUSE????? Pffft!!
"I'm not your friend. I'm your MOTHER. And I am here to give you the boundaries that YOU NEED to become a functional responsible adult.”The auction is now closed, but we assume the tears are still flowing.
