Police investigating the death of a man have cordoned off a home in Yangebup amid concerns of a bio-hazard.
Residents in Pelican Ramble were initially told to stay inside.
Police now say that the public is not at any risk but that there is "still a potential bio-hazard at the address".
"All necessary precautions will be taken by emergency responders with the removal of the deceased person," police said in a statement.
The emergency was declared earlier this morning after police received a request to conduct a welfare check on a person that had not attended work.
Officers found a man dead at a house on Pelican Ramble.
The death is not being treated as suspicious, a police spokeswoman said.
However as the investigation into the death has progressed, information came to hand to suggest there may be a bio-hazard present.Due to the risks posed, specialist officers from ChemCentre and Department of Fire and Emergency Services attended.
