A Rockingham man is accused of bashing his neighbour during a dispute about dogs.
Police charged the 53-year-old man after he allegedly went to the home of another Kent Street resident just after midnight yesterday.
During an argument the man allegedly repeatedly punched the other resident, a 63-year-old, in the face. The resident tried to flee into his home but the other man allegedly followed him inside and continued the assault.
Family of the victim pulled the attacker from the home and called for help, police said.
Police charged the man with aggravated burglary and aggravated assault occasioning bodily harm. He is due to appear in Rockingham Magistrate's Court on September 12.The other man sought treatment for his injuries.
