UPDATE: Three police officers were injured when their car was rammed by a silver Holden utility in Dianella last night.
The officers noticed the utility driving closely behind them as they travelled along Grand Promenade about 11.20pm.
A police spokeswoman said the driver followed the police car onto Alexander Drive and accelerated.
"It then turned into the police vehicle, pushing it onto the median strip and forcing it onto the opposite side of the road," she said.
The police car was damaged and the officers were treated for minor injuries.
An abandoned Holden utility was found on Altone Road in Kiara about 1am.
Officers are investigating whether it was the same utility that was involved in the incident.Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
