Major Crime detectives investigate Broome death
Major Crime Squad detectives will visit Broome to investigate the death of a woman this morning.
Broome Police responded to an emergency call regarding an injured woman at a house in Miller Way about 10am.
"A 42-year-old woman was located with a serious injury, consistent with a stab wound," a police spokesperson said.
"St John Ambulance personnel also attended, however the woman died at the scene."
A 39-year-old man was taken into custody at the scene and is helping police with the investigation.
Broome Detectives and Forensic Officers attended the scene.
"The incident is being investigated as a suspected homicide," the spokesperson said.
