A woman has denied she lured a Hamersley father to her house where he was allegedly shot by her boyfriend, a Supreme Court murder trial was told yesterday.
Paolo Nunzio Stagno, 30, and Danielle Kovac, 28, have pleaded not guilty to murdering 38-year-old Mite Naumovski in Nollamara on September 25, 2011. His body was found wrapped in plastic in the back of a car 11 days later.
In his opening address yesterday, Ms Kovac's defence lawyer Phil Urquhart said his client denied luring Mr Naumovski to the house where she lived with Mr Stagno, who was her boyfriend at the time.He claimed Mr Naumovski was "extremely angry" and seeking revenge because he blamed Mr Stagno for a drive-by shooting earlier that day at his Hamersley house. The jury was told Mr Naumovski and Mr Stagno had a long-standing dispute over a drug debt.
