David Bowie exhibit goes on the road
An exhibition on the career of David Bowie has proved a huge success in London and is about to go out on the road.
The exhibit, titled David Bowie is, has proved a popular draw for London's V&A Museum, where it will run until August 11. The V&A Museum curated the exhibit and says it has been staying open until 10 pm to meet demand, with attendance reaching about 300,000.
The exhibition's next stop will be the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto in September. After that, David Bowie is will travel to Sao Paulo, Chicago, Paris and finally the Netherlands by December 2015.
However, with large gaps within the touring schedule, and further international venues yet to be confirmed, Australian fans can remain hopeful that the exhibit might land Down Under.
David Bowie is is the first international retrospective of the musician's five-decade career. It includes more than 300 items, including handwritten lyrics, original costumes, album artwork, set designs and performance materials.
