Fire damages boat at Freo fishing harbour

Fire has damaged a 15m timber boat that was moored at Fremantle’s Fishing Boat Harbour.

Firefighters were called to the boat shortly after midday.

It is believed the fire was contained to one level of the boat, and that the ship could be salvaged despite the damage caused by the blaze.

The cause and estimated damage bill are not yet known.
