Two teenagers were lucky to escape injury last night when an SUV ploughed into their lounge room wall, knocking over a television metres from where they were sitting.
Laura Spencer and Shelby Mateljan, both 19, were watching television in their Lathlain home when the driver of a red Mazda Tribute crashed through a fence and into their lounge room wall.
A police spokesman said the driver lost control after her vehicle was clipped by a Toyota Corolla at a roundabout on the corner of Bishopgate Street and Roberts Road.
Ms Mateljan said they had only been living in the two-storey home, which is owned by her parents, for about three weeks.
"The TV only started working this morning and it was the first time we sat on the couch and properly watched it," she said.
"My parents are down south and they are freaking out a little bit so they are coming up now."
Both drivers escaped without serious injury and State Emergency Service volunteers were last night working to stabilise the home.
Ms Spencer said the roundabout was notorious for accidents."We always hear horns and screeches at the roundabout," she said.
