Arson Squad detectives are at a Victoria Park business this morning, investigating a suspicious fire that caused hundreds of thousands of damage last night.

Just before midnight, police noticed flames at a property on Canning Highway and notified the Department of Fire and Emergency Services.

It took 15 crews half an hour to extinguish the blaze, which was contained to offices on the second floor of the building.

A DFES spokeswoman estimated the damage at $400,000.

Earlier last night, a home went up in flames in Withers, a suburb of Bunbury.

Firefighters were called to Jacaranda Crescent about 10.30pm, but could not save the property.

A DFES spokeswoman said the fire had completely destroyed the home, leaving a damage bill of about $350,000.

The cause appeared accidental.
