Police name Swanbourne murder victim

Police have named the man murdered in Swanbourne as David Liam Johnson.

A resident found the 32-year-old dead in a park off North Street about 11.30pm, after hearing a gunshot.

It is believed the man died of a gunshot wound to the head.

Police are still looking for the killer and are investigating a motive for the homicide.

Major crime squad detectives said David predominantly used the name Liam and would be known to many people as Liam Johnson.

He was known to hang out around Mandurah and Fremantle and moved around a lot.

At this stage police claim they have not identified any address where he lived.

Police are appealing for anyone with information about Mr Johnson’s murder to come forward.

They also want to speak to anyone who drove along, or was in the area of Lime Kiln Field and Clement Street on Friday night to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
