Four charged over axe assault

Four people who were allegedly involved in a fight where a man was hit with a meat cleaver and an axe have been charged by police.

Police allege the group were involved in a fight outside a fast food outlet on William Street in Perth at about 10.20pm yesterday in which a man was struck to the body with the weapons.

The man received cuts and abrasions to his body.

Police have charged a 45-year-old man and a 15-year-old girl from Innaloo with being armed in public and acts or omissions causing bodily harm and a 40-year-old Innaloo woman and a 23-year-old Wanneroo woman with acts or omissions causing bodily harm.

The four are scheduled to appear in Perth Magistrate's Court and Perth Children’s Court tomorrow.

Police also want to speak to a man who they believe can help with their investigations. The man is described as being dark-skinned, about 175cm tall with a slim build and short dark hair.

He was wearing a white zip-up jacket with red around the upper chest and neck area and the numbers '05' on the back.

Those with information are asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
