A female St John Ambulance paramedic was allegedly kicked twice in the head while trying to treat a 17-year-old boy inside an ambulance in Mandurah yesterday.
Police say the boy also kicked and punched her male colleague in the face during the alleged assault.
About 5:30pm, the paramedics responded to reports of the youth lying on the ground at the corner of Dower Street and Pinjarra Road.
He allegedly became violent while receiving treatment inside the ambulance.
A police spokeswoman said he kicked the female paramedic twice in the head, before kicking a male paramedic and punching him in the face.
Police were called to the scene and arrested the boy.
Both ambulance officers were treated for minor injuries.The youth will face Mandurah Children's Court today charged with two counts of assaulting a public officer.
