Motorcyclist airlifted after crash

A motorcyclist has been airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital after colliding with a car in Neerabup this evening.

The crash happened just before 5pm on Hester Avenue, near Wanneroo Road.

Hester Avenue has been closed between Connolly Drive and Wanneroo Road and motorists are urged to avoid the area.

The RAC rescue helicopter was called in to rush the seriously injured rider to Royal Perth Hospital where he is in a serious but stable condition.

Firefighters are at the scene dealing with a fuel spill.
