The West Australian February 24, 2013, 8:35 am

A 52-year-old woman has been treated after falling overboard from a charter vessel on the Swan River early this morning.

The vessel returned to the Barrack St jetty about 1am and her husband alerted staff that she was missing.

Police, with the assistance of the police helicopter, started a search and the woman was found around 2.30am near the Old Swan Brewery.

"She had swum to a buoy, clinging to it for some time before swimming ashore," a police spokeswoman said.

She was taken to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital for treatment.
