The first two people charged with allegedly organising a party which spiralled into an out-of-control gathering have made a brief appearance in court.
Jonathan James French and Travis Thomas Glennie Robinson, both 22, appeared in the Joondalup Magistrate's Court this morning charged over a December party in Padbury which police declared an out-of-control gathering.
The men face a year behind bars and a $12,000 fine if convicted of organising an out of control party, under the controversial new laws which came into effect late last year.
Police were called to the Gibson Avenue home about 11.30pm on December 22 by neighbours who allegedly complained of yelling, screaming and other disruptive behaviour.
Police allege more than 40 people had gathered at the party and claim bricks were thrown when officers arrived.
Neither Mr French nor Mr Robinson were required to plead to the charges. They will reappear in court next month.
