Police are appealing for information about an assault and robbery at Kiara Shopping Centre late last month.
About 7:30pm on Monday, January 28, a scuffle broke out between staff members and a 34-year-old woman, who was allegedly trying to leave without paying for items.
The woman has been charged with stealing and is scheduled to appear in Midland Magistrate’s Court on Friday, March 1.
However during the confrontation, another woman allegedly pulled a staff member’s glasses from her face, before punching her in the back of the head.
She then grabbed a nearby bicycle, pushed her way through staff members and left the shopping centre.
Police spokeswoman Susan Usher described the woman as 163cm tall, with a tanned complexion and solid build.
She was wearing a black singlet top, dark skirt, black bandana and red sandals.Anyone who recognises the woman or has information about the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
