Beer-loving robbers steal worker's car

Liam Croy, The West Australian February 18, 2013, 8:39 am

Robbers forced a Como bottle shop attendant to load up his own car with alcohol before stealing it yesterday.

About 1.25pm, two thieves entered Como Liquor Store on Canning Highway and asked for some bottles of beer.

One of the men then used the bottles to threaten the staff member, demanding his car keys and taking cash from the till.

The offenders forced the worker to carry more alcohol to the car before eventually driving away.

Police spokeswoman Ros Weatherall said the stolen was a maroon Mitsubishi Magna 1BXF226.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
