A 16-year-old Bertram learner driver is facing several charges after she crashed into an Armadale carport while allegedly drunk early yesterday.

The girl was driving a Toyota HiLux when she slammed into a carport on the corner of Devereux and Sexty streets about 2.30am. Neighbours said there were at least four other juveniles in the vehicle.

The girl was charged with contravening a learner's permit, driving with a blood alcohol level in excess of 0.05 and careless driving.

The incident came after the garage of a Ballajura home was damaged about 1.25am when a Lexus was driven through the side of a house on The Lakes.
