Police find youths trying to remove car after crash

Police are investigating a traffic crash in which a vehicle crashed into the carport of a house in Devereux Street, Armadale, causing between $10,000 and $20,000 damage.

"At around 2.30am, police attended to find the vehicle embedded in the carport and around five youths trying the remove the car," a police spokeswoman said.

"SES volunteers attended and secured the house."

Police have charged a 16-year-old Bertram girl with driving offences, including contravening her learner's permit, and excess 0.05 blood alcohol. She will appear in court at a later date.

Estimated damage to the house is from 10-20 thousand dollars.
