Parents at a southern suburbs high school have been alerted after an unidentified man made a lewd remark at a student.
The Leeming High School student was walking to school along Gledhill Way yesterday morning when a man driving a white sedan drove up to her and attempted to engage her in conversation.
The man reportedly made a lewd remark at the girl before driving off.
An Education Department spokeswoman said school authorities had sent an SMS warning to all parents, which would be followed up with a letter today.
“The matter was reported to police and the school has taken steps to alert all parents about the incident,” she said.
“Teachers also reinforced messages with students in classes about how to keep themselves safe while walking to and from school.”Sponsored links
